An Indianapolis home care company built around one idea
That an older adult should get to decide how their own day goes, for as long as it is safely possible. Everything we do follows from that.
Who we are, a home care company in Indianapolis
Cater2U Home Care Service LLC is a locally owned, BBB accredited home care company serving Indianapolis, Greenwood and the communities around them. We provide non-medical support at home, an adult day center, a residential stay program and durable medical equipment, which means a family can usually stay with us as needs change rather than starting over with someone new.
The work itself is not complicated. It is showing up on time, doing what you said you would do, and treating someone with the dignity you would want for your own parent. Doing that reliably, every single day, across every client, is the hard part. It is the part we organise the whole company around.
Our mission
To deliver dependable, client-centered support that makes daily life easier, safer and more comfortable, and to do it in a way that leaves the people we serve feeling respected rather than managed.
Our vision
A central Indiana where growing older at home is a realistic choice for far more families, because the help they need is affordable, trustworthy and actually available when they call.
Four things we will not trade away
Compassion
We hire for warmth first. Skills can be taught. Noticing that someone has gone quiet, and sitting with them, cannot.
Integrity
Clear pricing, honest scheduling and a straight answer when the answer is no. We would rather lose the work than overpromise it.
Excellence
Training that continues after onboarding, supervision that actually visits the home, and a process for fixing things when we get them wrong.
Respect
The client decides. We advise, we raise concerns, and then we follow the lead of the person whose home and life it is.
What we do, and what we do not
Being clear about this early saves families a great deal of confusion later. Non-medical home care and home health care are different things, and most people need to understand which one they are actually looking for.
We do
- Bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting support
- Help moving safely around the home
- Meals, groceries and light housekeeping
- Medication reminders and routine building
- Transport, errands and company
We do not
- Administer medication or injections
- Provide nursing, wound care or therapy
- Diagnose, treat or give medical advice
Questions about working with us
Yes. Every caregiver goes through a criminal background check, reference checks and skills verification before they meet a client, and training continues while they work with us. Supervisors observe in the home and are available to caregivers at any hour, because a caregiver who can reach someone at 2am is a safer caregiver.
We carry the insurance our work requires and we are happy to show you the certificates. Ask us at the assessment and bring the same question to any other agency you are considering. An agency that hesitates to answer it is telling you something.
We are local and small enough that the person who assesses your mother is the person you can call later. There is no regional call center. Our offices are in Indianapolis and Greenwood, our caregivers live in the same neighborhoods as our clients, and decisions get made here rather than in another state.
No. Cater2U provides non-medical support only. If your family member needs skilled nursing, wound care, injections or physical therapy, that comes from a home health agency or a clinician, and the two often work side by side. We will help you understand the difference and will say clearly when something is outside our scope.
