Accessibility statement
How we try to make this site usable for everyone, and what to do if we have fallen short.
This website is used by older adults, by people with low vision, and by families reading it on a phone at a hospital bedside. Making it work for all of them is not an optional extra.
What we have done
- Text contrast that meets the WCAG 2.1 AA standard
- Body text set large enough to read comfortably, and it scales when you zoom
- Every function reachable by keyboard, with visible focus outlines
- Descriptive alt text on images, and captions written for meaning
- Headings in a logical order so screen readers can navigate the page
- Motion reduced automatically when your device asks for it
- Forms with labels, clear error messages and no time limits
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA. That is the standard most public bodies are held to, and it is a reasonable bar for a business whose customers are mostly over seventy.
Accessibility is not a box that gets ticked once. Every time we add a page or change a layout there is a chance of introducing a problem, so we re-check the things above when the site changes rather than assuming they still hold.
Known limitations
Some content on this site comes from third parties, such as embedded maps, and we do not control how accessible those components are. If an embedded element is getting in your way, tell us and we will provide the same information in plain text.
If something does not work
Tell us and we will fix it. Call 463-277-4092 or email cater2uhomecare@gmail.com. Please say which page you were on and what happened, and we will get back to you. If you cannot use part of this site at all, we will simply give you the information over the phone, and we can take an enquiry that way too.
You can also reach us through our Contact Us page. Our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions explain how we handle the information you send us.
