An adult day center built around company, not supervision
The Cater2U Adult Day Center gives older adults company, structure and a hot meal in a supervised setting, and gives the family caregiver their working day back.
Company, structure and a reason to get dressed
Long days alone wear people down. Meals get skipped, the television stays on, and the world shrinks to a few rooms. A day program interrupts that. There is somewhere to be, people who notice when you arrive, and something happening that is worth joining.
Our center is supervised throughout, with staff who help with personal care and mobility as needed, medication reminders during program hours, and activities that are genuinely engaging rather than filler.

What people actually do here

Painting and craft
Hands-on creative sessions that give people something of their own to finish and take home.

Puzzles and games
Group puzzles, word games and card games that keep the mind busy and give people something to talk about.

Gentle exercise
Seated and standing movement sessions focused on balance, mobility and staying steady on your feet.

Outings
Trips out into the community, because a change of scene does more good than any activity sheet.
Questions about the day center
There is a rhythm to it, which is the point. People arrive in the morning, settle in with coffee and conversation, and then move through a mix of group activities, gentle exercise, a hot lunch and quieter time in the afternoon. Nobody is made to join in. Some people paint, some do puzzles, some sit and talk, and all of that counts.
Older adults who should not be home alone all day, but who do not need residential care. It suits people who have become isolated, people in the earlier stages of memory loss who do better with structure, and families where the main caregiver works or simply needs the day back.
Yes, transport to and from the center can be arranged as part of the program. Tell us the pickup address at the assessment and we will confirm what is possible for your part of Indianapolis or Greenwood.
A prepared lunch and snacks are part of the day. If your family member has dietary requirements set by their doctor or dietitian, bring the details to the assessment and we will follow the plan you give us. We do not design diets ourselves.
Yes. Many families start with a single day to see how it goes, then add more once their relative has made a friend or two. Others use it only on the days they work. The schedule is yours to set and to change.
That reaction is almost universal on the first visit and it usually softens. We suggest coming for a short visit together first, with no commitment, so it is a place she has seen rather than an idea she has been sold. Most reluctance is about being sent somewhere, not about the place itself.
