To arrange, schedule and deliver our services
To send you service updates, appointment reminders and similar messages you have asked for
To keep records we are required to keep, and to protect the website from spam and abuse
To improve the website and understand which information people find useful

Data security

This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so information you send through it is encrypted in transit. Enquiry records are held in a password protected system with access limited to the staff who need it to do their jobs. Accounts are individual, and access is removed when someone leaves. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if anything affecting your information goes wrong.

Please do not send detailed medical information through this website. A web form is not the right channel for it. If we need clinical detail in order to arrange care, we will collect it properly and securely during the assessment.

Data sharing practices

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is necessary to run the business, and only to the extent needed:

With service providers who operate systems on our behalf, such as website hosting and email delivery, under agreements that require them to protect it
With healthcare providers or family members, where you have asked us to or where it is necessary to deliver the care you have arranged
Where the law requires it

SMS consent and phone numbers

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

In plain terms: the phone number you give us, and the fact that you agreed to receive text messages, are never sold, rented, traded or passed to anyone else for marketing. That applies even where other categories of information may be shared for the ordinary operation of our business.

Text messaging

If you tick the consent box on one of our forms, you agree to receive text messages from Cater2U Home Care Service LLC. Ticking that box is always optional, and the box is never pre-ticked. You can give us your phone number without agreeing to text messages, and we will contact you by phone or email instead. Full details of our messaging programme are set out in our Terms and Conditions.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.
Reply HELP to any message for assistance.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry records for as long as we may reasonably need them to serve you or to meet our record keeping obligations, and we delete them when they are no longer needed. Records of SMS consent are kept for as long as you remain opted in, plus a period afterwards, because mobile carriers can ask us to evidence that consent was properly obtained.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

Tell you what personal information we hold about you
Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
Stop contacting you, by any or all channels
Withdraw your consent to text messages, either by replying STOP or by telling us directly

Write to us using the details below and we will action it. We will not make you justify the request.

This site uses only the cookies WordPress needs in order to function, plus any set by analytics where it is enabled. You can block cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work.

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes to how we handle your information will be explained here rather than buried.
